When you embrace Spirit - your heart is opened!
A Life Changing "Light bulb Moment" That Made the Darkness Disappear. -- Faye Bowman
When Faye Bowman first met Sharon Marquart approximately 15-20
years ago at Unity Church in Enola, Pennsylvania, she was very much a lost soul in
search of herself from a spiritual and emotional standpoint.
"Although I had a
wonderful and supportive husband, a daughter I loved, grandchildren I adored, a
thriving business and a beautiful home, I felt unsettled. I was yearning and
struggling financially, emotionally and spiritually." Realizing she had to do
something to stop the downward spiral, Faye decided to attend a "Prosperity" class
taught by Sharon. It was a wakeup call for Faye, who now terms it her "light bulb
moment." "I had this small intuitive feeling that said "WOW! She's right on target!"
During this class, Faye realized she had it all; however she was living in poverty
consciousness. "I allowed other people to take advantage. I didn't even try to change
it, I just accepted it." It was then Faye realized she was still carrying old baggage
from the past. "I remember my mother was always very money conscious and
materialistic. It ruled her life. Although I loved her and there were other things
I admired about her, I realized I was allowing my life to be dictated by the very
same set of rules I so wanted to avoid. No matter what I had, it was never enough.
My mentality was that "Murphy's Law" would always ruin it. I was in a constant state
of panic about money. No matter what anybody did, it was never good enough. It
affected every aspect of my life: my family, friends and my self esteem."
While Faye recognized the challenge she was facing that day, she
wasn't willing to accept it. "I caught a glimpse of my conscious level and what I
needed to do to become "unstuck," yet for whatever reason I wasn't ready. Several
people recommended Sharon as a life coach, but I never used her because I wasn't
ready to grow. I wasn't ready to change." Throughout the next several years Faye
became more focused on her inner self. She realized the craft business she and her
husband had built was in trouble. "After September 11, small businesses like ours
went downhill for a variety of reasons: mass marketing overseas, the economy, the
war, etc. I realized we needed to make a change. I wasn't sure what that change was;
I just knew it had to happen. I began to do a lot of personal work in spirit. I
noticed the more I worked on my spirituality, the more it became clear the universe
had a plan for me. I also realized that even though I was doing a lot of self help
work, there was still a void that I couldn't fill. I couldn't put my finger on it. I
thought if I just continued on my spiritual journey, things would take care of
themselves."
Soon after this self discovery, Faye and her husband, Doug, started
TLC Home Healthcare- an elderly care service in which they provided care both in
their home as well as outside. "I've always really connected with older people and
so has my husband. I loved the fact that they could be old souls but still have
young spirits. I enjoyed listening to their stories and I learned from them. I
noticed that for many of them their homes were their sense of grounding and security.
It's where they built their memories with their families. It was then I realized
there was a niche for this market, so I thought I could create a staff that would
provide services like running errands, scheduling and providing transportation to
appointments, picking up prescriptions, providing home cooked meals, etc. which
would give the elderly the outside help they needed, while keeping them under their
own roof and maintaining a sense of independence. In addition, for those that
couldn't remain in their own home anymore, I realized I had this big, beautiful
house and how wonderful it would be to give someone a temporary place to stay with
a yard, home cooked meals and one on one care. Within 2-3 weeks I had several clients
I provided care for inside their homes and I also got Alice, my first in-home client.
Her home wasn't conducive to her being able to live independently, so I brought
her into our home and she immediately became part of our family. It just clicked.
Almost."
Several years passed. Faye continued to build her business, became
very involved at Unity Church and worked on her spirituality, but something was still
missing. "While I was aware that I hadn't addressed my old issues, I just ignored
them because I had this new task to take on. I was on autopilot and didn't have to
think about anything other than moving forward. Then it dawned on me that I was
repeating old patterns. I was back on track with my career and although I enjoyed my
clients, my focus again became money. This time, I didn't wait for it to go away,
ignore it or justify it. I called Sharon."
In June, 2005, Faye attended her first life coaching session with
Sharon. "It was like the light bulb turned on again, and this time I was ready to
accept and embrace it. Sharon was emphatic about my envisioning and empowering
myself. She helped me discover the reasons why I had allowed myself to be led by
finances for so long. We worked on reframing and restructuring my goals. I can't
describe how fulfilled I felt after each of those sessions. In the beginning we
met on a weekly basis, and eventually I was able to take the tools we discussed
and apply them to my daily life and my sessions became less frequent. By September
I had acquired another full time patient and the abundance just continued. Sharon
helped me lose my" poverty consciousness mentality" and truly accept the concept
of living in full abundance. This time I was really ready to take it all to the
next level."
In January, 2006, Faye attended one of Sharon's seminars
entitled "Embrace Your Magnificent Self." "It was a wonderful way to start the
New Year. I felt stronger than ever. Little did I know how soon I would need to
draw on that strength."Exactly one day following the seminar, Faye's beloved
client, Alice, passed. "It was one of the most difficult challenges I faced.
Although I grieved the loss, the strength I had gotten from both my life coaching
sessions combined with the "Embrace" class left me feeling strong and in charge.
There would have been a point in my life where I would have gone back into "self
pity, poverty and poor me" mode, but I didn't this time, thanks to my work
with Sharon." I embraced the memories I had with Alice, took some time to really
internalize and process, and then moved on. I have found I now look forward to
the future and know that things will fall into place. The universe has a plan and
I embrace it with all that I am. I am currently taking a year long continuation
class of "Embrace Your Magnificent Self" and it has made all the difference. I
view things clearly and know I have the power to create whatever I want. It's
been a long journey, not without its bumps in the road. However, for the first
time in my life I feel I am on the right path and I am just enjoying all the
gifts that have been ,and continue to be offered every step along the way!"
